Torino, Vigone, Piasco. Within a radius of one-hundred kilometres,
between the Mole and the province of Granda, get ready for
a voyage into music, culture, and sensations. Our guiding
star is once again the harp and its extraordinary universe
of sound.
This experience, as always, is always compliments of the Museo
dell’Arpa Victor Salvi and is part of the
new edition of the “Autumn Harmonies” programme.
The first stop, Torino. At the Circolo
dei Lettori (Palazzo Graneri della Roccia, via
Bogino 9) the first queen of the series will perform: Isabelle
Olivier. A multifaceted artist,
Olivier has explored the world of jazz with her harp thanks
to her personal attributes of sensitivity, professionalism,
and that pinch of artistic verve that is always a plus.
The concert will take place on Friday, September
18 (at 9 pm).
Then another feminine touch is set for Saturday,
October 10 (at 9 pm). The theatre of Vigone
(To) will be the venue for an emerging artist on
the international scene: Eleanor Turner. Sharing
the stage with Eleanor will be Quintettango,
a Torino-based group who has been dedicating their artistic
efforts to the music of Astor Piazzolla for years. The evening
at the Vigone theatre will be in homage to the Argentine
maestro and is expected to be brimming with sensuality.
The title of the programme speaks for itself: “Tango
mon amour”.
Grand finale, as always, at the Museo dell’Arpa
Victor Salvi. On Friday, November 13 (at
9 pm), the third appointment is set to take place
in the museum auditorium with Ann Fierens in
a concert on the simple movement pedal harp.
“Three extremely appealing concerts to discover
the various dimensions of the harp,” comments Roberta
Scarzello, Museum Manager of the Museo dell’Arpa
Victor Salvi. Once again this year,” Scarzello adds, “the
calendar offers irresistible events for harp enthusiasts
that are also certain to conquer all those who decide to
approach this instrument for the first time.”
Marco Ghibaudo, director of the Museo dell’Arpa
Victor Salvi and Managing Director
of Salvi Harps echoes her by saying: “This
programme confirms the mutual commitment of the Museum and
of Salvi Harps in promoting the harp and highlights the vivacity
of this small but dynamic cultural entity in Piemonte”.
All the “Autumn Harmonies” concerts are open
to the public free of charge.
