The Victor Salvi Foundation commissioned Patrick Hawes, in-house composer at Classic FM Radio in London, to create a piece of original music for the harp to commemorate the 60th birthday of HRH The Prince of Wales. The composition entitled, "Goddess of the Woods," was premiered by Claire Jones, current harpist to HRH The Prince of Wales, at a concert at Covent Garden on November 14th. Ms. Jones performed the new composition for solo harp and strings on the Royal Harp, made especially for HRH The Prince of Wales by Salvi Harps.

"The Victor Salvi Foundation is proud to have commissioned this new work, which will become part of the harp repertoire in the future," says Julia Salvi, president of the Victor Salvi Foundation. "We hope it will be performed and enjoyed by generations of harpists in the years to come."
